The Rover Special Q&A in Melbourne on 8 and 9 June 2014 with David Michôd

imgbox

Honestly for those of you in Melbourne what better way to spend a Sunday or Monday evening other than going along to Cinema Nova, Carlton or the Palace Cinema, Como and listening to David talk about The Rover.  I can think of no other.  And I’ve spent time listening to him as you know and it was so worthwhile.  David is fascinating.

“We are delighted to announce that esteemed Director David Michôd will be joing us at Palace Cinema Como on Monday June 9th for a Q&A of his new film THE ROVER starring Guy Pearce and Robert Pattinson.

Rob Birthday Giveaway *2 Tix to the Sydney Film Festival Premiere of The Rover"

I can’t think of a better way to celebrate Rob’s birthday than to give two people the opportunity to not just see him up on the big screen, but in person.   We are giving away the chance for you and a friend to attend the premiere at the Sydney Film Festival at 7pm on Saturday 7 June 2014  (stalls – row U seats 18 and 19 click here for map ) .  The SFF confirmed to me yesterday that they are still working out final details, but Rob is very much attending alongside Guy Pearce and David Michôd (aka known as the Trio of Hotness).  The winner can take whomever they want but you can also introduce someone new that perhaps hasn’t joined the Rob bandwagon, tell them it’s not to late to step on, you know it’s better late than never.  It’s a great time to discover the world of Rob.

Obviously this prize caters to Aussies, but if you are from overseas and feel the urge to have a short holiday or will be in Sydney during that time, then feel free to enter.  The winner will be chosen randomly, so just comment on this post and let us know you want the tix.

Competition closes 5pm AEST, Monday 19 May 2014 in celebration of The Rover Day at Cannes.  Winner will be announced shortly thereafter.

Good luck.

*Note:  The prize is the premiere tickets only.  Airfare and accommodation are at your own expense and not the responsibility of RPAU.

Please note if you have commented over at the main RPAU site you don't need to comment here.  We have saved the list of people who have entered.

Map to the Stars Obtains "R" Classification Rating in US

According to The Film Stage:
*raiseseyebrows*

Australia hasn't given the film a classification as yet, but my recollection is that Cosmopolis was rated "R" in the US, but it was MA15+ in Oz. I'll keep you updated if and when we get details about Australian classification or release.
